That truck came out great. I'm impressed how your showing up gave them the boots to the ass to get it done and stop screwing around. 👍 If you started using shipping containers you can get your vehicles here, plenty of parts AND sell the containers that you don't need. The prices for containers have gone up and up over the past couple of years. You're proving why boots on the ground are so important in so many ways Nick. There's so many of us that really appreciate you.
Nick, at 10:00 on older Toyota 4WD trucks like that one you can’t just push a button to go into four-wheel-drive. They have manual locking hubs. So you stop the truck completely, then get out and turn the center part of the each front hub to the “Lock” position. That physically connects the front wheels to the front driveshafts. Then you climb back in and push the 4WD button on the dash and that engages the transfer case to send power to the front differential. Now you are in four-wheel-drive. And now is when you can pull on the shorter lever on floor to go into 4H (4 high) or 4L (4 Low). It’s old school stuff. To go back to 2 wheel drive you have to stop the truck completely, then you push the 4WD button on the dash to disengage the transfer case. Then you climb out and turn the front hubs to the “Free” position. Then you’re in 2 wheel drive again. I had a ‘92 LiteAce that has the exact same 4WD system as the truck you drove.
Man…it looks nice and all but you really just can’t beat getting a fire truck and painting it black. Granted he’s getting AC and an intact bed so could be a decent trade off. I love my HiAce LY but part of me feels I should have kept the LH I got at the same time for that classic look!
My friend has a Hi Ace firetruck but I ended up going with the mazda bongo brawny fire truck. I like having air conditioning and being able to do 70 on the highway.
The Toyota Hiace is definitely looking good. Probably be reliable for some time if the servicing is kept up. My dad had a 1980s dual cab Toyota Dyna for many years which is not too different to the Hiace you were driving . It came with a manual column shifter and after building/welding a crate together, he was able to cart a couple of cows or horses in the back without too much trouble. Got to say it wasn't the most comfortable ride as it would bouce around but certainly it did the job.
Turned out great👍 I’m thinking about getting one of those Hiace pickups in the future-I’ll refer to this video when I’m ready. I could fit a whole LOT more in that container😉
About the container...Mayberry receives a lot of their trucks via container and they have them packed full of windshields, etc., maybe not scooters. Lol. They have videos showing them unloading and it is nuts.
Nick… the repaint❤…sure beats white lol ,love the Toyota industrial reflection with the Toyota forklift❤! Nick, the Hiace is bigger than kei right🤔🇯🇵? To me… start of a slightly bigger than kei camper lol❤
If this was going to be shipped out in Philippines they would've cut it in half so they can fit more in container and then rewelded it back in which they usually do a pretty bad job using acetlyn it pretty much warped the panels hide it with bondo and proceeds to convert the dashboard to left hand drive but because steering rack is still right hand drive they use a multiple u joints across from left to right and sold it for 6k dollars max for a turbo every wagon🤣
News flash!!---FYI--according to Duncan imports web site one of Duncan imports business partners has past away and so there shutting down the Tennessee location. there discounting some or all of there inventory to keep from having to move them to the virgina location. last day to buy at the Tennessee location looks like April 15th.
Yeah we can repaint cars, Couple people from CDP bought cars and had them repainted. Little less than America about 1500 or so depending on car and size
@@Waybeforethefame NICK!!! Are you serious!! Maaan how far is that place from where you are? What is the typical turnaround time and quality of their work? I'm thinking they could also reupholster that Mira seat and reweld the seat bracket. I noticed that there is typically a plate going from one end to the other that's not there may be why the seat seems loose and shaky in that video you showed me moving the seat from side to side. Just an idea but I don't wanna slow you down or inconvenience you either.
@ Wow ok, let's talk offline and see if number line up! But again, I don't want to inconvenience you and definitely don't wanna have really huge shipping delays. I'm trying to get some things in order her in anticipation of getting the Mira here too. You're doing great things man! A Container with cars and parts (especially parts) man would be a huge huge profit-ter for you, Mindy, and crew if you all had to getin on it together.
Seen something similar with Mitsubishi Evos & Subaru imprezzas but not complete cars just body shells & parts everywhere in the container when I went with a friend for bits for his Imprezza they were fastened from roof each car etc with chains. Toyota truck looked great but Japanese Hi-ace looks nothing like all generations we have in Europe. That looks like a Nissan we have in Europe. The Speedo could be jumping as it's not connected to gearbox correctly as in the Speedo cable goes into the gearbox to give speed certainly on the old type non digital mileage m

@ yeah black&yellow spec is solid, but I've always been a sucker for red
Man that truck is a clean black looks so good but it’s gonna be hard to take care of that paint. Really good job they did 👍🔥
It is gonna be a beast, I’ll keep her clean!
YEA, I COULD SEE YOU HAVING ONE RACK ON TOP FOR YOU GRABS.
THEY MAKE A LITTLE TENT FOR THE TOP IF YOU WANT AND STUFF IN THE BACK AND INSIDE.

Yeah, those old trucks were built to last!
Nice rugged truck. I bet its fun to drive that diesel
Didn't even know they made a 4 door HiAce. I thought those were only in the Dyna and Toyoace.
Definitely on my short list.
They're great trucks, Popular all around the world
Turned out great👍

Wow the paint job is beautiful, but I'm afraid it's going to be an oven in summertime.
Needs ceramic tints for sure
Great looking truck wow !!!! Toyota is the way lol
Paint looks really good from what I can tell I mean it could be a Maaco paint job but it looks pretty good especially for black
Yeah its not perfect but its a complete body paint job and not that expensive
The paint job is amazing. Truck looks great. Wonder if they paint non-trucks? Finding someone to paint a car cheaper in Japan would be nice.
That truck is sweet! Definitely on my short wishlist list now!❤ $18k is a lot😮
18k is actually a good price for this car in the condition its in!

Yeah much bigger than a kei truck one can maybe fit in the back
Going to be a doozie 🔥
Looking good

Loving the content 🔥
I think I would want a spray on bedliner.
SAFE STORAGE FOR YOUR STORAGE IS ALWAYS FUN.
id love to find a hiace in new england be a perfect work truck!

Im about to look them up on amazon
Men. How u doing how can i contac you. Im from puerto rico and have 2 mini truck that need some parts ! Can you arange that for me ?

Anyone know Siyaya here? why does the truck on thumbnail gives me vibes that it was a Siyaya that was cut and given a truck bed🤣🤣😂 Such a cool truck
18K is worth it 100%
I agree, fully painted and serviced. Turn key ready to go!
Are the mini trucks able to be registered in NY state? What's the name of the wheel place? I'm looking for a set of jimny wheels to put on my samurai
I dont think so
Bring a ruler. Measure straight across center of bolt to center of bolt. 10cm = 4x100.
I need to learn how to do this
How much does it cost to ship a container with vehicles/parts?
Wow that lil truck looks really nice where are you guys based
Tokyo/NY

Yea they have a gas one and one that’s a turbo diesel one in tn location
I went to the website and cannot view the Nashville inventory for some reason unless everything is already liquidated☹️
@@FrankTimms-cs5hl yeah I had the same problem seeing the inventory.
Discounted Duncan cars are still over market
How much do those trucks go for normal
Around 12k in the normal white condition. 5k for paint and upgrades
@Waybeforethefame well dam thing is awesome
So you can have them repaint the vehicles too???🤔🤔 How much would sumn like that be?🤣🤣
Yeah we can repaint cars, Couple people from CDP bought cars and had them repainted. Little less than America about 1500 or so depending on car and size
