I love that Nick stopped (during them making out) to ask Charlie if it was okay with him that he was “kissing” his neck. He didn’t force himself. Shows how much Nick respects him.

Tao finding that commonality with Nick as they both have absent fathers - for very different reasons obviously. This melts Tao a little and I think is what enables him to confide in Nick about how he feels about Elle.

I agree that Kit and Joe have great chemistry. Apparently most of the kissing montage in epi 1 was improvised. I think this season there was a lot more unscripted/improvised moments

I'm gonna be honest, I didn't notice Ben staring at Charlie the first watch because everytime he was on screen, I was looking at how fabulous Imogen looked next to him 😂 her saying he was obsessed with Charlie took me completely by surprise because I didn't see that she'd seen it haha

Other than Nick and Charlie, Tao has got to be my favorite male character in the entire show. He doesn’t have a shred of toxic masculinity, homophobia, or transphobia. Spoiler skip past the parentheses (He doesn’t care if people think that he gave Charlie the love bite. Isn’t scared to kiss him during truth or Dare) His decision about whether to date Elle has nothing to do with her being trans and Is more focused on preserving their friendship and him not feeling good enough for her. He openly stands up for his queer friends against homophobes, and genuinely does not care what they think of him. And he’s only 15. He’s a true ally and a great friend. 🫶🏼

Episode 1 where Joe was messing Kit's hair when they were gaming - it was not scripted. There was an interview with the director about it. I think Episode 8 [spoiler alert] when Kit pretended he was hurt when they were designing the prom was also not scripted, the way he laughed was more like "Kit" and not "Nick Nelson", if you look at Joe's reaction from that too.

This show is brilliant. You can go back through season 1 and see hints of Charlie's food issues back then too. More this season, but it was still there once you know to look for it. Well done. 👍🏾

I feel like so many people miss the fact that just before Imogen breaks up with Ben, when he starts to try talking to Charlie. If you look at Nick, he starts to get up almost like he is gonna react to Ben trying to talk to him. Protective boyfriend for the win! ❤

In the comic, Tao didn’t know Charlie and Nick were together yet, so he try to separate them by taking the other bed.

A lot of the background moments and big group scene stuff was improvised.
With regards to Charlie's eating... It's even more impressive how much they wove into S1 that you pick up on after watching s2

Yeah season two breaks my heart,because I relate to Charlie so much we have the same personality and I also struggled with an eating disorder in high school.And I still do sometimes,a lot of people didn't notice but in season one you can also see Charlie not eating,like whenever he has food in his hands he's always just playing with the food and not eating.There were two scenes in season one where Nick and Charlie went to the cinema and Nick asked Charlie what kind of popcorn he wants and Charlie quickly said oh I'm not hungry but you can have some though,and the other scene was with Tori she asked Charlie if he wants pizza for dinner and he said I'm not really hungry,I'll just eat later,I'm not ready for season three because season three will probably talk more about Charlie's mental health problems.

I just realized season 1 first episode Charlie was just moving his spoon around in his cereal. I thought that it was cuz he broke up with Ben but now I think otherwise.

Ben is trash and Imogen is a queen for telling him off. I'm glad she's now becoming part of Nick's newer, better friend group. She seemed so alone and lonely at the Paris trip meeting at the school. This is better.

Every RUclipsr who reacts to this episode has the same reaction to Harry defending Emogen but they forget in season one Emogen said to Nick their friend group (Harry included) have been friends since year 7, outside of school Harry and her were always talking together and she told him about her date with Nick so they are somewhat close friends, while Harry and Ben don't see to be close. He'd be more of a prick if he didn't stand up for his only female friend IMO

I think with Romance stories the actors need to have the right chemistry otherwise it will look very scripted! Joe and Kit, in interviews at least, have this kinda best bros connection with each other. They bounce off each other so well, you can taste it. So I do think a lot of this is certainly improvised, no amount of acting lessons can make scenes like theirs look so organic and natural. 😀imho anyway.
