Welp, this has to be the most time consuming tail we've made yet! In addition to all of those stripes, all of the feathers on the tip were individually cut, sewn, and painted, then hand stitched on one at a time. The spikes are DVC foam spikes provided by the client, which I painted and sealed.

Oh sweet baby Jesus and the orphans. The complexity of the pattern is blowing my mind. Like seriously, holy hand grenades. This is amazing. Both in the aesthetics since it's beautiful and the technical aspect since it's an amazing feat of skill and craft. Absolutely stunning. I can honestly tel you I have never seen such devotion to patterns as I see in your work. Where others would eliminate complexity, or make larger blocks or the design, or air brush it, you kung-fu grip that pattern and rock it. Maybe rocket rock it. 'Cause this is the sort of attention to detail in sewing that builds freaking space suits man.
